Description

USDA Forest Service; Pacific Southwest Region, intends to contract for a contractor operated Type III (light) exclusive-use helicopter services for use at two locations. Primary use is for wildland firefighting. The contract will involve low level missions in mountainous terrain with external and internal loads. The helicopter may also be used for heli-rappelling. The designated bases and use periods are as follows: Abingdon, Virginia, George Washington and Jefferson National Forest, 3/10-5/5; and Happy Camp, California, Klamath National Forest, 6/1-9/30. Contract time is one year with two options years.
