Description
The Maintenance and Logistic Command Pacific purpose to contract for the Dry-docking and repairs of the USCGC Bayberry and Barge. The cutter and barge repairs will be geographically restricted within the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Puget Sound area. All work will be performed at the contractor's facility. Major work includes but not limited to the following items: Hull and structual plating repairs, pusher knee guide repair replce (barge), pusher knee guide repair (cutter), underwater body inspection (barge), underwater body inspection (cutter), sea strainer overhaul, tanks (hydraulic oil stroage & service) clean and inspect, voids (accessible) clean and inspect (barge), voids (accessible) clean and inspect (cutter), rudder stock bearings check cleances, rudders inspect & repairs, warping capstan (gen) level 2 inspect & repairs, drydocking (barge), and drydocking (cutter). The period of the performance starts 08 May 2001 and ends 03 July 2001. The solicitation will be issued on or about 18 December 2001. The solicitation will be pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and be award according to the Best Value selection. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minoritiy, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available uneer the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts accounts receivable financing. The maximum credit line is $500,000.
