Description

Wiesbaden Contracting Center intends to competitively award a requirements contract with firm fixed prices with time & material features. The contract to be awarded will have a base year period with options for four (4) additional 1-year periods. US Army, Europe (USAREUR) has a valid and continuing requirement for the repair and maintenance of approximately 250,000 household appliances issued to authorized military and civilian personnel assigned throughout the Federal Republic of Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Italy. The required services include installation, removal, exchange, disposal, transportation, automated inventory control, automated invoicing, automated repair parts management, hazardous waste removal (freon, oil, etc.), and the provision of repair facilities in sufficient quantities and of adequate capacity to support government and economy housing requirements in 22 BSBs and ASTs, including remote sites. The types of appliances to be serviced by the proposed acquisition are refrigerators, ranges, washers, dryers, dishwashers, freezers, hot water heaters, microwave ovens, light fixtures, exhaust hoods with fire extinguishers, and garbage disposals. As the current domestic appliance contract will expire on 30 June 2001, a follow-on contract is required.
