Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to modify contract N00178-99-C-1014 to acquire MK 21 MOD 2 Initiators for use in the Land Attack Standard Missile. This requirement is for the delivery of 95 MK 21 MOD 2 initiators. This modification is being fulfilled through other than full and open competition as only EG&G Optoelectronics, 1 Mound Road, Miamisburg, Ohio 45343-0529 can satisfy the Government's minimum needs. See Numbered Note 22. Interested parties may submit a capability statement to NSWCDD, Attn: Code SD118, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Building 183, First Floor, Room 102, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448-5100 and reference Request for Quotation N00178-00-Q-1013. Statements must be received on or before close of business 19 December 2000 to be considered and the statement must address schedule (required March 2001) and duplication of vendor qualification cost to support award to a source other than EG&G Optoelectronics. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area; therefore, synopses and resulting solicitations with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/supply. Hard copies WILL NOT be provided. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCDD Web Site to ensure that they have downloaded all amendments. DoD will no longer award contracts to Contractors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
