Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with Rolls-Royce Corporation, Indianapolis, IN 46206, for technical and sustaining engineering services for the T56-A-427 engine associated with the E-2C aircraft of the US Navy and FMS Customers. Rolls-Royce Corporation is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the T56-A-427 and is, therefore, the only source that possesses the resources and in depth technical knowledge and technical data necessary to provide these services within the time required to meet USN and FMS fleet operational requirements. The Government does not own a fully validated technical data package that would fully support acquisition of the engineering services required from sources other than Rolls-Royce Corporation.
