Description

The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement for the procurement of approximately nine (9) Data Link Pods for the F/A-18 Tactical Reconnaissance System and spare components (or such other procurement quantities as Congress may authorize and fund). This procurement also includes logistics support, sustaining engineering, and other related support and equipment. The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate with BAE SYSTEMS Reconnaissance and Surveillance Systems, the sole designer and developer of the Data Link Pod. BAE SYSTEMS Reconnaissance and Surveillance Systems is the only firm possessing the requisite technical knowledge and expertise necessary to perform these efforts within the required timeframe.
