Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with FAR 13 with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation A SEPARATE WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number N00181-01-Q-0120 applies and quotations are being requested. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20 and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement 1998 Ed. The Standard Industrial Code is 3052 with a small business size of 500 employees. FISC Norfolk/NNSY Annex intends to make a firm fixed price award for the following: HOSE ASSEMBLY, NON-METALLIC; ORDERING DATA: A) ZZ-H-451G, 13 JAN 1984, HOSE, FIRE, WOVEN-JACKETED RUBBER OR LATEX OR RUBBER COATED FABRIC LINED, WITH COUPLINGS; B) TYPE 3, CLASS A, SIZE 4", LENGTH 25 FT(*THE SIZE IN THIS CASE IS EXCEPTIONAL DATA TO THIS SPECIFICATION); C) NOT REQD; D) YES (SEE ADDITIONAL ORDERING DATA); E) NO; F) NOT REQD; G) NO; H) NO; I) N./A; J) 25 FT; K) ONE MALE AND ONE FEMALE HEAVY DUTY CAST BRASS COUPLING WITH 2 OR 3 ROCKER LUGS, 4 THREADS REQD, EXPANSION RINGS SHALL BE COPPER ALLOY C23000 PER PARA 3.4.1.1 OF FED SPEC WW-C-621G, DATED 07 FEB 1990; L) NH, 4 THREADS REQD; M) AS SPECIFIED; N) N/A; O) N/A; P) N/A; Q) N/A; R) LEVEL "C". ADDITIONAL ORDERING DATA: 1. HOSE ASSYS SHALL NOT BE MARKED "FOR POTABLE WATER USE ONLY". 2. THE FEMALE END HOSE FITTING SHALL BE BALL BEARING SWIVEL TYPE ONLY. SNAP RING TYPE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. 3. MARKINGS SHALL INCLUDE: (A) MANUFACTURER'S NAME; (B) CONTRACT NUMBER. THE MARKINGS SHALL BE IN 1" HIGH BLACK LETTERS OF INDELIBLE INK. 4. ADDNL TESTING DATA: MANUFACTURER SHALL INDIVIDUALLY TEST EACH COMPLETED HOSE ASSY TO 285 PSI (+10/-0) FOR A MIN. OF 30 MINUTES. ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA FOR THIS TEST IS ZERO LEAKAGE AND ZERO SLIPPAGE OF COUPLINGS. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE WRITTEN CERTIFICATION FOR EACH TESTED LOT OF HOSE ASSEMBLIES. FAILURE TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY DATA FOR EVALUATION MAY RESULT IN A CONTRACTOR'S OFFER BEING DEEMED AS NON-RESPONSIVE. Delivery shall be FOB destination, NNSY,Receiving Officer, B276, Ports, VA 23709.Inspection/acceptance at destination. DFARS 252.204-7004 REQUIRED CENTRAL REGISTRATION" applies. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror/quoter INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. Info can be obtained through Internet @ http://ccr/edi.disa.mil. FAR 52.212-1, 52-212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5 (52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37 invoked), ADDENDA: DFAR 252.212-7001 W/252.225-7001 applies. A COMPLETED CERTIFICATION AS REQUIRED BY FAR 52.212-3 SHALL ACCOMPANY ALL RESPONSES TO THIS SOLICITATION. Offers shall be evaluated for fair and reasonable prices, technical acceptability, adherence to applicable clauses, provisions, required delivery and satisfactory past performance record. Parties responding to this solicitation may submit their quote in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g. company letterhead, formal quote form, etc) but must include the following information: 1)Complete mailing/remittance address; 2)prompt payment discount; 3)anticipated delivery; 4)Taxpayer ID number; 5) All completed certifications as required herein. All quotations must be received NLT 3:30 PM local time,December 15, 2000.
