Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment, Washington, DC has a requirement for the purchase of hydrogen maser frequency standards on the behalf of the U.S. Naval Observatory, Washington, DC. The following is required. 1) The masers must have the ability to be a stand-alone frequency standard; 2) the masers must be able to tune its cavity independently without the need for input from another standard; 3) further specifications include: frequency outputs, frequency drifts stability frequency domain, and stability time domain. Award of a Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated. The contract will consist of a base year and four one year option periods. The FAR clauses 52-217-7 "Option for Increased Quantity -- Separately Priced Line Item" (MAR 1989). The requirement is unrestricted, full and open competition.
