Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13.105. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00178-01-Q-1014 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This action is set aside for small businesses. The Government intends to initiate a brand-name mandatory procurement of Motorola MVME Processor Boards. Motorola is the sole qualified supplier of this equipment at the present time. The Motorola MVME Processor Boards are the only boards that meet the requirements for integration with the UK ATWCS program. Strict configuration continuity must be kept between the existing and future UK ATWCS computer suites. Procuring another brand, make, or type of board would unavoidably cause a change in software configuration of the UK ATWCS system. Market Research indicates that multiple distributors are capable of providing the Motorola brand-name equipment. The contract line item number and description are as follows: CLIN 0001 MVME162P-244L Motorola Single Board Computer, (Quantity 30). ALL MOTOROLA MVME162P-244L BOARDS MUST BE NEW, NO REFURBISHED OR USED BOARDS WARRANTED AS NEW BOARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED. An award will be made to the responsible offeror or offerors who submits a quotation for these items at the lowest cost to the government and can meet the required delivery date of 31 January 2001. NSWCDD reserves the right to award either on an all or none basis or to issue multiple awards with offerors with the lowest cost to the government and can meet the required delivery date of 31 January 2001. Each offeror shall provide back-up information verifying the price offered. This means a copy of the most recent catalog or price list, invoices from previous sales for identical equipment, etc. CLOSING DATE IS 15 DECEMBER 2000 Award is expected to be no later than 22 December 2000 with a required delivery date of no later 31 January 2001 after award of contract. Shipping terms are FOB Destination to Receiving Officer, Naval Surface Warfare Center, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448 and acceptance shall be made at destination. This notice of intent is a request for competitive quotations. Quotations will be accepted via mail at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Bldg 183, Room 102, Attn: SD111, Dahlgren, VA 22448 by 2:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, 15 December 2000 or by facsimile. Facsimile quotes shall be accepted at (540) 653-7088. All quotations received by 2:30P.M.
