Description

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to enter into a sole source purchase order with Mallett Technologies, Inc., for the purchase of the ANSYS Parallel Performance Software Package (1 License), and one-year of maintenance support. The proposed software will provide the necessary resources for finite element analyses of detailed models of spent fuel casks. The NRC intends to purchase this software from Mallett Technology as ANSYS is the main software program currently being used. Specifically, the NRC is using ANSYS finite element analyses to conduct structural finite element analyses of spent fuel storage and transportation packages. As the proposed software is an add-on to the current ANSYS software currently being used, the system will provide more functionality to NRC's users. ANSYS only sells its products through licensed distributors. The only authorized distributor for the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, is Mallett Technology. A request for quotation does not exist. Interested respondents shall submit a written capability statement to the address listed above, including information which sufficiently demonstrates its ability to provide the required software and maintenance support.
