Description

The Dept. of VA, Austin Automation Center, Austin, TX anticipates award of a base contract with four 1-year options for the offsite storage of disaster recovery materials using commercial acquisition procedures. The contractor shall be responsible for the safe and secure storage and daily secure transportation of the AAC's disaster recovery computer files. The contract will require emergency recall of information stored offsite to be returned to th AAC for recovery purposes. If a disaster occurs, the contractor shall ship the requested items stored offsite to an alternate processing site. Initial contract performance will be from contract award through September 30, 2001 with four 1-year option periods. This is a full and open competition and the award of a firm-fixed price contract will be made to the offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation is the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Site visits to the contractor's proposed storage facilities are anticipated.
