Description
Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dry-dock repairs including but not limited to the following Base and Option items. BASE ITEMS: (1) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel Tank(s), (2) Renew Bulwark Structure, (3) Erect Mast Staging, (4) Renew Shaft Seals, (5) Inspect Shaft Covering, (6) Remove Grid Cooler, (7) Replace Existing Doppler Speed Log System With SRD 500 System, (8) Preserve the Transducer Hull Rings and Renew the Depth Indicating Transducers, (9) Preserve 35' Whip Antenna and Foundation, (10) Overhaul and Test Bilge Manifold and Valves, (11) Overhaul, Renew, and Test Valves, (12) Install Ball Check Valves, (13) Repair Sounding Tubes, (14) Overhaul Fuel Tank Root Valves, (15) Overhaul and Test Fuel Manifold and Valves,, (16) Hydrostatically Test Hot Water Storage and Hydropneumatic Tanks, (17) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder Assemblies, (18) Renew Lower Seal Retainer Rings, (19) Overhaul Warping Capstan Assembly, (20) Inspect and Preserve Talon Grid, (21) Preserve Chain Lockers, (22) Preserve Bilges, (23) Preserve Weather Decks, (24) Renew Cathodic Protection System, (25) Install Reverse Osmosis Desalination Plant, and Remove Flash-type Evaporator Unit, (26) Renew Oily Water Separator, (27) Provide Temporary Logistics, (28) Routine Dry-docking, and (29) GFP Report in Accordance With Solicitation Section H. OPTION ITEMS: (1) Welding Repairs, (2) Overhaul Anchors and Anchor Chains, (3) Preserve Underwater Body, and (4) Ultrasonic Testing. The vessel is a 210 foot Medium Endurance Cutter, which is 210 foot 6 inches long and 34 feet in width. Vessel's homepier is located in Cape Canaveral, FL. Vessel's minimum depth of water is 15 feet, and the minimum height clearance is 88 feet. The performance period is forty-seven (47) calendar days beginning on or about April 23, 2001. Funds are available for this procurement. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Drawings are still available in hardcopy; however, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about December 22, 2000. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
