Description

In accordance with FAR 9.2 and Public Law 98.525, this synopsis constitutes notice that the Air Force has established Qualification Requirements (QR's) for the Repair of the following Items: Automatic Flight Control Processor (AFCP), PN 5050051-9, NSN 6615-01-397-7980, and Actuator, PN 5050052-9, NSN 1680-01-397-5433NT, applicable to C-130 and C- 141 aircraft. The AFCP and Actuator are very crucial parts of the Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS). The AFCS provides the functions of three-axis autopilot, flight director, automatic trim, status and warning, and test for operational control over the C-130 and C-141 flight profiles. This is not an RFP. No solicitation document exists. The Air Force does not possess data required for repair of these items.
