SYNOPSIS: PRON: AX051201AX, Noun: Bearing, Ball, Stack, NSN: 3110-00-135-2603; P/N: 205-040-246-3 ; Quantity: 135 each with 100%, 2 year option. Applicable to the UH-1 Airframe/Power Train Unit. FOB Destination to Texarkana, TX. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government does not have specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. Approved sources are Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc., Hurst, TX and MRC Bearings, Jamestown, NY. The time required for approval of a new supplier is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website {HYPERLINK http://www.redstone.army.mil/com/ and look under SAR information. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation, however, solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above.
