Description

The Patuxent River Infrared Signature Measurements Program (PRISM), located at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Patuxent River, MD has a requirement for a one each of a high resolution Long-Wave Integrated Detector Cooler Assembly (IDCA) sub-assembly consisting of; 1) 640 x 480 LWIR Focal Plane Array P/N A2329.1, 2) 4 channel read-out integrated circuit (ROIC), 3) Dewar, cold shield, and IR window, 4) 1.0 watt linear-drive cryo-cooler, 5) Sideboard electronics. The contractor will provide these components in a package suitable for integration by a third party into a complete infrared data acquisition system. The PRISM program requirements of a COTS Long-Wave Detector Engine subassembly must satisfy the requirements for spectral response (8-10 micron) and resolution (640x480). The government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, a firm fixed price contract with DRS Infrared Technologies, 13544 N. Central Expressway, Dallas, TX 75243. Award is anticipated by December 31,2000. DRS is the developer and manufacturer of this COTS Long-Wave Detector Engine subassembly and other equipment and compatible components under the PRISM program. Delivery, to the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Patuxent River Maryland, is required within 120 days of award. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement. All capability statements received in response to this notice will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. The government reserves the right to process this procurement as a sole source based on the responses received.
