Description
This is a combined synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Quotes are solicited with this announcement, paper copies of the quotation will not be distributed. The quotation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-19. The Television-Audio Support Activity proposes to procure: two (3) each graphics workstations, dual processor; model 330 visual workstation with Microsoft operating system; consists of 330 workstation with dual 800MHZ Pentium III processors, 512MB PC133 SDRAM, 18.2GB ultra 160 SCSI hard drive, VR3 GFX 64MB DDR, MS NT 4.0 OS (P/N SG330-00008) with the following upgrades: keyboard, mouse, speakers, power cords, monitor cable, and user manual (P/N 91-AD001-001), two each northern hemisphere monitor (P/N 91-AB945-003), 6 foot MD 68-pin to MD 50-pin SCSI cable assembly (P/N 6214-6) and Adaptec ultra SCSI card (P/N 182900); Silicon Graphics Model SG330-00008 with upgrades; and one (1) each graphics workstations, dual processor; model 330 visual workstation with Microsoft operating system; consists of 330 workstation with dual 800MHZ Pentium III XEON processors, 512MB PC133 RDRAM, 18.2GB ultra 160 SCSI hard drive, VR3 GFX 64MB DDR, MS NT 4.0 OS (P/N SG330-00008) with the following upgrades: keyboard, mouse, speakers, power cords, monitor cable, and user manual (P/N 91-AD001-001), additional 512MB PC800 RDRAM (2 X 256MB RIMMS)(P/N 91-AD144-004), 21-inch northern hemisphere monitor (P/N 91-AB945-0003), 6 foot MD 68-pin to MD 50-pin SCSI cable assembly (P/N 6214-6) and Adaptec ultra SCSI card (P/N 1821900); Silicon Graphics Model SG550-00006 with upgrades. The Government anticipates negotiating and entering into a contract on a sole source basis with Silicon Graphics, 2011 N. Shoreline Boulevard, Mountain View, CA 94043, or their authorized distributors, under the authority of FAR 6.301-1-Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Offeror's proposing to provide other than the requested item shall include specification data sufficient to enable the Government to determine the capability of the offered item to meet the specifications stated above. All responses to this notice must make reference to quotation number MDA112-01-Q-0002. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 334111, size standard 1,000 employees. To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this quotation, contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, NO EXCEPTIONS. Verification of CCR registration must accompany your quote. The following clauses and provisions apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items and 52-212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, with the following sub-clauses: 52.222-21, 52-222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.232-33; and DFARS 252.212-7001, with the following sub-clauses: 252.225-7001 and 252.225-7007. DFAR Clause 252.204-7004. FAR Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, also applies, with the Government's evaluation criteria as follows: "The evaluation criteria for this quotation will consist of technical capability of the offeror to meet the agency technical, price and past performance. Technical capability and past performance together are approximately equal to price". Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3 and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their offer. Quotes must be submitted by 1:00 PM PST, December 21, 2000. Failure to provide any of the documents requested in this notice may render your quote unacceptable and ineligible for an award.
