Description

The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis testing services comparing the shallow barrier penetration performance of a loose bundle of subwarheads to a rigid unitary penetrator from SRI International, 333 Ravenswood Avenue, Menlo Park, CA 94025. This effort is an expansion of an existing effort, and replacement or reprocurement would cause the Government an interruption of services and additional reprocurement expenses. SRI has the technical expertise and facilities to perform the testing in a timely and cost effective manner. The North American Industry Classification System code is 541330. A modification to an existing purchase order shall extend the existing firm fixed priced purchase order through 30 September 2001. FOB Destination shall apply. Simplified Acquisition Procedures shall be used. A written quotation shall not be issued. The solicitation number is N00178-01-Q-1012 and is a Request for Quotation. All interested parties shall indicate their interest and capability with their fax quote at (540) 653-7088 which shall be considered by Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100. This procurement is DO priority rated. Offer is due 20 December 2000 no later than 2:00 p.m. (local NSWCDD time) to: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Code SD113, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Building 183, First Floor, Room 102, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100 and anticipated award by 05 January 2001. DoD will no longer award contracts to Contractors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base.
