Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement to procure maintenance services from I2 INTELLIGENT EBUSINESS SOLUTIONS for the AAIPT web based obsolescence predictions tool, specifically for the electronic components, alert notifications, and access to research databases. This type of service is a critical element in the AAIPT nine step process for performing obsolescence assessments for Navy and Marine Corps weapons systems. The data derived is used to provide program managers with an accurate assessment of current and future component obsolescence, allowing evaluation of the most cost-effective solution. I2 is the only known company which offers obsolescence management tools in a web-based format. This unique web-based access allows the team to receive obsolescence updates from a multitude of small suppliers and even access the obsolescence tools while on the road. This is a notice of intent to request a proposal from and negotiate with I2 INTELLIGENT EBUSINESS SOLUTIONS, 22687 Old Canal Road, Yorba Linda, CA 92887 on a sole source basis. I2 has been identified as the only responsible source capable of meeting the Government's requirements since they are the original developers of Tactrac Obsolescence prediction service and software and own specific data rights on the technology. It is anticipated that a maintenance services contract will be awarded to I2 for a period of performance of twelve months.
