Description
Maintenance and Repair Services for Emergency Generator Units at Various Locations, Oahu, Hawaii. The Contractor shall provide all the labor, transportation, equipment, materials, tools, supplies, and supervision needed to 1) Manage the contract by establishing a program to monitor, record, control and maintain the contract's quality standards and progress; 2) Conduct the specified Preventive Maintenance Inspection and Service, (PMIS) work on the emergency generator units on a regular scheduled basis; 3) Respond to Service Calls to assist/advise and/or perform repairs (up to 1 hour total labor effort and $50 total direct material costs) to Government personnel troubleshoot, arrest, adjust, and/or restore any of the listed emergency generating units to proper operating conditions; 4) Redo all unsatisfactory services and repair all damages caused by the Contractor's negligence or misuse, to the satisfaction of the Contracting Officer and at no additional cost to the Government. All work on the diesel engine (along with its fuel, lubricating, cooling, and starting auxiliary systems) and the generator up to (but not including) the automatic transfer switch are within scope of this contract. The 27 emergency diesel generator units covered under this contract provide power backup support for sewage lift station pumps. The generator units vary in sizes as well as manufacturers. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is replacing the Standard Industry Code Classification (SIC). The NAICS Code for this procurement is 81131 (previously SIC Code 7699). The contract term will be a base period of one year plus four option years. The total term of the contract, including all options, will not exceed 60 months. If the Government does not award a follow-on contract in time, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six months under the Option to Extend Services clause. In either case, the Government will not synopsize the options when exercised. This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. No information exists on prior contracts. Offerors can view and/or download the solicitation at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil/ when it becomes available. The solicitation utilizes source selection procedures which require offerors to submit past performance and experience information, and price proposal for evaluation by the Government.
