Description

The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS), 3601 S. 6th Ave., Tucson, AZ 85723, intends to negotiate a sole source commercial service contract with Copperstate Fire Protection, Inc., 7310 N. 108th Ave., Glendale, AZ 85307, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302, for fire alarm system maintenance and repair. Service shall include quarterly inspections to ensure compliance with current National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 72 and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards for NOTIFIER system, Gamewell and Pyrotronics-MXL interfaced with NOTIFIER. The contract shall be for a base year with 4 one year renewal options. NAICS code 561621 applies to this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals, which may be faxed or e-mailed, by close of business (4:30PM local time) on 12/26/00. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
