Description

The Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Drug Courts Program Office (DCPO) attends to award a sole source purchase order to Ginzberg Video Productions, 1136 Evelyn Avenue, Albany, CA 94706 to produce a video about juvenile drug courts. Ginzberg Video Productions is an organization that is uniquely qualified to produce high quality videos on the topic of drug courts. The proprietor of Ginzberg Video Productions is a former criminal defense lawyer and has observed numerous drug courts and has a personal relationship with two highly regarded drug court judges in California. The experience of the Contractor, combined with their experience as a producer of professional videos including one entitled "The Unfinished Agenda" which was produced for the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and was featured on ABC news, qualifies the contractor to produce and design a video that can capture the essence and drama of a drug court. Given the success of a previous film produced by Ginzberg for the Drug Court Program Office on adult drug courts, it is critical to build on the experience and expertise gained from Ginzberg involvement in the subject area. Based DCPO's previous experience with the contractor and the contractors knowledge of the subject matter, the Government feels Ginzberg Video Productions is the best vendor for this procurement. This purchase order shall be negotiated in accordance with the authority of 41 U.S.C. 2152 (c)(1) Only one responsible source with unique capabilities. NOTE: THIS IN NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. Any interested firms may submit their technical capabilities by 12-14-2000.
