SUBJECT: R -- INTENT TO PROCURE ON A SOLE-SOURCE BASIS WITH THE MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (MIT) DESC: This publication serves as a notice of intent to procure, on a sole-source basis, with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), for ten spaces in the Systems Design Management Program (24 months) from 2 Jan 2001 through 2 Jan 2003. This procurement is being conducted under other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(iii). This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a request for quotations. No solicitation document is available. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine is a comparable source or offerors are available and more advantageous to the Government. This notice may represent the only official notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract award based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. (See numbered Note 26).
