Description

This project consists of deepening of the existing 40 feet (MLW) Federal Navigation Channel System to a depth of 47 feet (MLW). The project area is located along the northern channel of the West End of KVK Channel and Bergen Point. The project consists of the dredging and disposal of non-rock and entire drilling, blasting, dredging and disposal of rock. The scope of work also includes the sampling of subsurface materials at locations. The non-rock materials unsuitable for the HARS placement will be disposed at the Government designated Upland Disposal Facility and Confined Disposal Facility of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey located at the entrance of Elizabeth Channel. The estimated cost range for this project is $50,000,000.00 to $100,000,000.00. Completion time is 800 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The NAICS No. for this project is 234990. Solicitation documents will be available on or about 22 December 2000. Bid opening date will be 22 January 2001 at 11:00 A.M. or thirty (30) days following solicitation available date.
