Description

The intent of this solicitation is to obtain Hospital Operations, Maintenance, and Repair Support and Services for the Naval Hospital at the Naval Air Station, Lemoore, California. The hospital operation, maintenance, and repair support and services shall include scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of Naval Hospital facilities, equipment, and mechanical systems as listed in the solicitation. The facilities include a 153,438 square foot, two-story facility with 16 hospital beds, 4 operating rooms, 11 outpatient clinics and administrative spaces, and penthouses for medical equipment. Also included for maintenance and repair is the adjacent one-story Central Plant facility which houses the following mechanical systems to be maintained and repaired: HVAC system, fire protection sprinkler system, fire alarm system, emergency generators, medical gas system, steam boiler, heating hot water boilers, domestic water heaters, chilled water system, elevators, electrical substation and distribution system, kitchen equipment and systems, security system/intrusion detection system, public address/nurse call system, infant tracking system, cable TV system, ambulance radio dispatch system, medical air compressors, lab air compressors, and medical vacuum and anesthesia gas evacuation system. Performance is expected to begin on 1 April 2001. The proposed procurement shall be issued for a combination Firm Fixed-Price/Indefinite Quantity contract. The contract term will be one base period and four (4) option years. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 8744 and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561210 and the related small business size standard is $20,000,000.00. The contract will be awarded to the firm providing the proposal with the best value to the Government using criteria outlined in the solicitation: (1) Past Performance; (2) Corporate and Key Personnel Experience; and (3) Technical Problem. THE GOVERNMENT WILL ISSUE THIS SOLICITATION THROUGH THE INTERNET ON OR ABOUT 22 DECEMBER 2000. Hard copies will NOT be directly provided nor CDs. Notification of any changes to this solicitation will be made ONLY on the Internet site. It is, therefore, the contractor's responsibility to check the below listed Internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation.
