Description

The proposed procurement is for the purchase of the Embedded Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System (EGI), Part Number: 34201700-3N12 for the MH/AH-6, MH-47D/E and MH-60 L/K helicopters on a sole source acquisition with Honeywell Incorporated, Military Avionics/GNO, 13051 66th Street North, Largo, Florida 33773. Honeywell has the proprietary data rights and technical expertise required for the manufacturer of the EGI receiver. The minimum purchase is fifty-one (51) and a maximum of two-hundred fifty (250) units of the EGI and JAIC cards. The contract is for five years. The proposed action is for parts for which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. Firms that can provide the parts to include the JAIC cards are encouraged to identify themselves. This solicitation is releasable to U.S. firms only. Requests from U.S. firms must be submitted in writing to the above address and must include business size. All responsible U.S. sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Notes 22 and 26.
