RFQ-IBET-01-01-018 HELICOPTER RAPPEL EQUIPMENT, DUE 12/14/00 BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS (4:30 PM). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is set aside for small business; all responsible sources may submit an offer. The NAICS classification for this procurement is 453998 with a SBA size classification of $5.0 million. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The Forest Service has the need for various items to be used for Helicopter Rappels in fire situations. This equipment must meet the USA Interagency Helicopter Rappel Guide specifications. Certain Items are SOLE SOURCE because of the need for standardization and to meet the Missoula Technical Development Center's (MTDC) and the USA Interagency Helicopter Rappel Guide's specifications and requirements.
