CONSOLIDATION OF EXISTING SCHEDULES/SOLICITATIONS. GSA is issuing a refreshed solicitation effective December 11, 2000, electronically only. Effective April 1, 2001, the eight (8) Multiple Award Schedules of the National Furniture Center are being consolidated into a single Schedule. The Schedule is entitled "FSC 71, Part III -- Special Use Furniture". This new Solicitation, 3FNH-F6-010003-B, entitled as shown above, has been issued to replace standing solicitations for: 71 III A, Preschool and Classroom, Auditorium and Theater Seating; 71 III B, Library -- Wood, Metal or Plastic; 71 III C, Storage Cabinets for Forms and Flammable Liquids Card-Size Filing Cabinets (Steel) (SINs 487-1 and 487-6 only); 71 III D, Mail Sorting and Distribution Bins, Racks and Carts; Light-Duty Small Parts Cabinets; and Plastic Storage Bins; 71 III F, Hospital Patient Room Furniture; 71 III L, Cafeteria and Food Service Furniture; 71 III Y, Drafting Stools, Clothing Lockers and Locker Benches (SINs 628-2, 628-3, 628-98 and 628-99 only); and 71 XIV B, Workbenches, Worktables and High-Density Storage Cabinets and Enclosure Systems for Modular Electronic Equipment. Special Item Numbers (SIN) 71-304 Lecterns; 71-306 Mail Sorting and Distribution Furniture; 71-308 Cafeteria and Food Service Furniture; 71-312 Hazardous Materials Storage; and 71-317 Chair, Convalescent are 100% small business set-aside. Interested parties may access the solicitation at http://www.fedbizops.gov. This site provides instructions for downloading the solicitation files. Search using Solicitation Number 3FNH-F6-010003-B (include the dashes). The basic solicitation includes clauses, which must be completed and returned by all offerors. Some of the changes made to the solicitation are: I-FSS-163 Option to Extend the Term of the Contract (Evergreen): This clause will allow the government to have three (3) five (5) year options to your contract, for a total of twenty years if performance is satisfactory. The options are not guaranteed. Some of the measurements of satisfactory performance will be such things as adequate sales, quality performance, and timely IFF payments. One of the most important evaluative factors will be participation in the GSA Advantage! program. None of the Evergreen options will be exercised unless your firm has posted its contract information to the GSA Advantage! website. All offers received will have 6 months after award of a Federal Supply Schedule contract to submit their electronic catalog to GSA Advantage!. All current contract holders have until July 1, 2001, to submit their electronic catalog to GSA Advantage!. Contractors may now be represented as 8(a) contractors, providing SBA confirms that the offeror is indeed an eligible 8(a) contractor. These changes are intended to increase the teamwork that has led to greater customer satisfaction and use of the Federal Supply Schedules. There are mutual benefits for both the contractor and the government, and it is expected to increase revenues to those contractors who earn the right to maintain a contract for the entire twenty-year period. Contracting questions should be directed to the points of contact listed in the solicitation. The Federal Supply Schedule period is continuous. Individual contract periods will begin on the date of award and will expire five years later (exclusive of any options or cancellations). All contracts will be indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contracts with $2500 guaranteed minimum for the contract period. All contracts to be awarded include Industrial Funding provisions. We actively solicit offers from 8(a) firms for the products/services found under this MAS solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. All current contractors under the above schedules must fill out and submit this new solicitation. Current contractors will receive a letter with further instructions along with a copy of the new solicitation. The solicitation is available on the Internet at http://www.fedbizops.gov as an Acrobat document. Interested parties who are unable to access the solicitation via the Internet may fax a request to 703-305-6290 or mail the request to the address above. TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Be sure to include your complete address, and whether you want a diskette in Word or in Acrobat, or a paper copy.
