- Description
- The VA Medical Center, Louisville, Kentucky is soliciting offers for Name Brand or Equal-To the Gardner AC-0066-D Electronic Weigh Cart. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Simplified acquisition procedures apply. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) #333312 and the related size standard of 500 employees applies to this solicitation. This solicitation is set aside 100% for small business. This CBD announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued. A separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. Request for Proposal (RFP) 603-34-01 entitled "Laundry Weigh Carts" is issued under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) Contractor shall be required to provide, 16 each, FOB Destination delivered price, Laundry Electronic Weigh Carts (Name Brand or Equal-To the Gardner AC-0066-D). Delivery is required within 8 weeks of contract award. Carts must be compatible with existing E-Tech sling brackets, and must fit existing soil sorting framework without requiring any modification to existing equipment. Offerors are encouraged to make a site visit to ensure that equipment offered will fit existing equipment. Salient Characteristics -- Cart dimensions 35 "w X 39 "d X 56"h; rechargeable battery system with the battery housed in the enclosure; capable of weighing a minimum of 100 LBS to a maximum of 500 LBS of linen. Contractor shall provide maintenance manuals, describing all preventive maintenance, and calibration procedures required, all parts schematics, and all other essential information needed for repairs; a minimum one (1) year parts and labor warranty. Contractor shall be required to provide training to all using personnel with training recorded on a VA provided form. Award will be based on 1. compatibility to existing equipment; 2. Warranty offered; 3. past performance of equipment offered; 4. delivered price; 5. delivery time frames.
