Description
The U.S. Navy, in collaboration with the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (BMDO), is identifying and evaluating Navy system concepts which could supplement land-based National Missile Defense (NMD) systems to provide a more robust and effective NMD capability. This Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), which appeared in CBDNet on December 1, 2000 and the printed issue of the CBD on December 5, 2000, is amended to clarify the deadline for receipt of white papers and the completion date of the proposed effort. The following sentences are deleted from the BAA; "This BAA will be open for 1 year from the date of the announcement. Proposals may be submitted at any time within that period." Interested parties are reminded that white papers must be received no later than January 31, 2001, however, earlier submission is encouraged. The last paragraph of the BAA is revised to clarify the sentence near the end that describes delivery of final documentation of study results. The sentence which reads: "The results of the contractor studies will be documented in a final report and delivered by August 2001." Is replaced with "The results of the studies will be documented by the contractor in a final report and delivered by 31 August 2001.
