Description
Perform boundary line and corner maintenance of cadastral surveys in rural areas on the Talladega National Forest, Oakmulgee Ranger District, Bibb, Chilton, Dallas, Hale, Perry and Tuscaloosa Counties, Alabama. It should be noted that the anticipated work is entirely boundary maintenance and firms not interested in this phase of the work need not make offers. The Oakmulgee District Office in Brent, Alabama will be considered as home unit for requested work under the proposed contract. The item numbers will be as follows: Item 0001 -- Boundary Maintenance on the Oakmulgee Ranger District; Sub-item 0001A -- Boundary Line Maintained -- miles; Sub-item 0001B -- Corners Maintained-each. If your SF-254 is less than one year old, you do not have to submit another one. Your SF-255 should specifically address theses areas: (1)Certification as a surveyor, licensed to survey in the state of Alabama. (2) Past performance on conctracts for boundary surveys and maintenance performed in rural, wooded, and mountainous terrain similar to the project area with government agencies. Other boundary survey and boundary maintenance projects may be considered if shown to be comparable to the forest service painting, monumenting and signing standards. (3) Specialized qualifications and experience of key personnel including technical skills, project coordination and knowledge of field applications of rural surveys. (4) Knowledge of local surveying and historical practices, records repositories, and land ownership patterns. (5) Firms capacity, technical competence and qualifications for satisfactory performance of the project. (6) Proximity of the firm to the local project area. Firms more than 50 miles from the project area will not be considered. Project area will be considered to be the Oakmulgee Ranger District in Brent, AL. (7) The volume of work previously awarded by the Forest Service will be evaluated with the objective of effecting an equitable distribution of the contracts amoung qualified firms, including minority or disadvantaged firms. (8) Price will be considered. This contract will be a requirements contract.
