- Description
- SOURCES SOUGHT TO PROVIDE METERING OF FACILITIES IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN ARKANSAS, LOUISIANA, NEW MEXICO, OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS With deregulation in our near future it is mandatory that we are able to provide to our energy providers a detailed load profile of all our facilities. This will help us achieve bargaining power when it comes time to buy power on an open market structure. With out this information energy providers will sell us power at an increased rate to help cover the risk of not knowing how much energy our facilities use, and at what times they use it. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS In most cases our facilities already have an energy management system. We would like for the metering system to extrapolate data from existing systems where feasible. Install hardware and connect to existing EMS where needed. Ensure existing EMS can store the information for at least one week in case metering system failed. Where no EMS exists but metering data is required then hardware will need to be installed and wired directly to metering system. Gateways will be installed where needed to communicate with EMS. A server will be installed at Fort Worth Federal Building SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS System will collect and archive data every 15 minutes System will be capable of integrating Real Time Pricing strategies System will be monitor only. No control points. However information on screen will provide user with name, phone number, etc. of contact points at facility. Data will be transmitted over internet to server located in Fort Worth. Data will be password protected and secure. Facility Managers will be able to access data over the World Wide Web. System shall be expandable for future programs such as billing consolidation, meter aggregation, RTP, alarm reporting, cost per square foot, _etc. System will provide data in multiple graphical representations, including Excel spreadsheets. System must be capable of integrating with multiple vendors of Energy Management Systems, to include but not limited to Seimens, CSI, Barber Coleman. Honeywell,_etc. System will be capable of showing a graphical representation of the Chillers, Boilers, AHU's, pumps, lighting, _etc. System should be capable of determining efficiencies of chillers, boilers, _etc.
