Description

The purpose of Amendment 0004 is to provide clarification and answers to questions raised by potential offerors as follows: (1) CLARIFICATION: Amendment 0003, issued this morning, deleted reference1.4 TITLED "ABS Approved Work Item #801 with associated drawings". This deleted reference defined HVAC related work scope. Yesterday afternoon, MSC issued two new HVAC drawings for the Blood Bank and Gas Reception Area Modification. These two drawings , 302-6954686 and 510-6954685 described the installation of two A/C units solely for the purpose of servicing the Blood Bank and Gas Reception spaces. The amendment 0003 statement of work does not reference either of these two drawings provided as reference. (1) ANSWER: Provided as reference due to ongoing work on the AC units. Work effects the floor plan and installation of the cabinet upgrades. (2) CLAIRIFICATION: It is further noted that the new electrical HVAC drawing received (302-695486) conflicts with Blood Bank Electrical Power System Modification Reference 2.1 (320-7372765) and paragraph A.1a. in the Statement of Work. Power panel EP53 is removed and replaced reference 2.1 to support the installation of new freezers and this same panel is used as existing for supporting the power requirements for the two new A/C units. (3) ANSWER: You are correct, this panel is currently used to support the bloodbank freezers and the new AC units. (3) QUESTION: Is the scope of work in the Blood Bank and Gas Reception Area to include requirements to install two new A/C units in accordance with the two HVAC drawings issued on 11/29/00? (3) ANSWER: No. (4) QUESTION: Will EP53 be retained with an as of yet unspecified panel that will support both the new freezers and new A/C Units? (4) ANSWER: EP-53 will be replaced and will be used to support the AC units as well as the freezers. All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged.
