- Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs including but not limited to the following Base and Option items: BASE ITEMS: (1) Repair Starboard Gunwhale Damage, (2) Inspect Skeg Top Plate (3) Clean and Inspect Fuel and Waste Oil Tanks (4) Remove and Dispose of Fuel (5) Remove and Dispose of Oil and Water (6) Preserve and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks, (7) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tanks, (8) Inspect Bronze Sleeves in Various Shaft Packing Areas, (9) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts, (10) Renew Water Lubricated Propeller Shaft Bearings, (11) Remove and Reinstall Propeller, (12) Inspect MDE Exhaust System, (13) Overhaul and Test Valves, (14) Inspect and Overhaul Duplex Sea Strainers, (15) Remove and Reinstall Rudders, (16) Overhaul Stabilizing Fins, (17) Preserve Weather Decks, (18) Coating Thickness Measurements, (19) Paint Draft Marks, (20) Preservation of Underwater Body Appendages, (21) Preserve Freeboard, (22) Inspect and Maintain Cathodic Protection System, (23) Ultrasonic Testing, (24) Provide Temporary Logistics, (25) Routine Drydocking, (25) GFP report in accordance with solicitation Section H. OPTION ITEMS: (1) Welding Repairs, (2) Renew Skeg Top Plate, (3) Minor Coating Repairs, (4) Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tanks, (5) Remove and Fabricate, Fit and Install Bronze Sleeve, (6) Perform Stern Tube/Strut Alignment, (7) Inspect and Install Government furnished Propeller Shaft, (8) Renew Strut Nut and Cotter Pin, (9) Inspect Propeller Shaft Alignments, (10) Perform Reduction Gear-to Shaft Alignment Inspection, (11) Straighten Propeller Shaft, (12) Repair Propeller Root Erosion, (13) Renew Stainless Steel Transition Piece, (14) Renew Rudder Upper/Lower Bearing, (15) Renew Lower Fin Bearing (16) Preserve Underwater Body, (17) Renew Reference Electrode, (18) Renew Cathodic Anode and Fairing, (19) Ultrasonic Testing, (20) Provide Additional Temporary Logistics. THE VESSEL'S HOMEPORT IS ST. PETERSBURG, FL. Vessel length is 110 Foot "C" Class Patrol Boat. Vessel's minimum depth of water is 12 feet and height clearance of 43 feet. Vessel's availability is for Forty Two (42) days, starting April 2, 2001. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required, in the form of certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard, for requested drawings. Drawings are now available on CD Rom. The CD Rom sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. All Businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about December 26, 2000. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. "ATTENTION: MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES (DBES). The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
