Description

The Government is accepting proposals for taxi-cab transportation services for the VA Pittsburgh Healtcare System. The services required is for a vendor to provide transportation as a common carrier for veterans upon call or demand in the City of Pittsburgh (Allegheny County). Vendor shall comply with all laws and regulations of the State of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation, Public Utilities Commission and currently be licensed with the PUC for the public carriers and the operators of these automobiles. Area of consideration is restricted to a 60 mile limitation from the City of Pittsburgh boundary line. Requests will not be honored from companies beyond this 60 mile limitation. All qualified interested parties must submit a written response to Mr. J. E. Regan (04A1-H), Contracting Officer, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. No telephone requests will be honored. All responsive and responsible offerors within the area of consideration may submit a proposal which if timely received shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 485310. Award shall be subject to the availability of funds. This acquisition is advertised on an unrestricted basis IAW the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program pursuant to PL 100-65. The Bid Opening is scheduled for January 9, 2001 @ 2:00PM located in Building #4, Room #373-E at the Highland Drive Division.
