- Description
- Z Maintenance Dredging, Chester River, Queen Annes County, MD. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS 234990/SIC Code 1629, size standard $17,00,000.00. Estimated cost is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Completion no later than 35 calendar days. Issue o/a 14 Mar 01. Work consists of using a hydraulic dredge. About 35,000 cubic yards of fine sand will be removed and transported about 18,000 feet to Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge and placed behind segmented breakwaters. The breakwaters will be plugged with small (8-10 ft.) geo-textile tubes to help contain the material. A wetland will then be planted after deposition. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be in either: compact disk (CD) or web site. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors requests for solicitations and quotations will be performed through Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI). Contractors may register to be placed on the bidders/offerors mailing lists by going to the website: http://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. Contractors may view and/or download solicitation information from the Internet site. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. It is imperative that all small disadvantaged businesses contact their cognizant Small Business Administration Office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Business Certification. Without SBA SDB certification, a prime contractor nor a federal agency, can receive SDB credit when utilizing non-certified SDB contractors/subcontractors. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. The initial registration date expired 31 May 1998.
