Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation DE-RQ65-01WG55626 is issued as a Request for Quotation. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. A fixed price contract will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This procurement will be awarded in accordance with FAR 19.502-2(b), Total Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industrial Code is 421110 and the business size standard is 100 employees or less. The Non-manufacturer Rule is waved under SIC code 3711. Requirements are as follows: COMMERCIAL ITEM SPECIFICATION MOTOR VEHICLE, LIGHT TRUCK AND UTILITY VEHICLES The U.S. Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration, Desert Southwest Customer Service Region requires 3 EACH Motor vehicles. The vehicles must be name brand or equal to Ford Motor Company vehicle MDL F550 4x4 crew cab with 176" wheelbase (W57). Vehicle standards are MDL year 2001. Color Oxford White (Z1). Feature codes: (3) 40/20/40 bench; (2) Graphite; (667A) Pref Equip PKG, XLT Trim, PWR/Tele TT MIR; (552) Passngr Airbag; (572) Air Conditioner; (58K) Prem CASS/CD; (99F) 7.3L Turbo DSL; (449) Elec 4-speed Auto; (T91) LT225 BSW A-S; (XK8) 4.88 LTD Slip TT/SP DSL CRDT; (153) FRT LIC Bracket; (166) carpet delete; (208) 17500# GVWR PKG; (41H) ENG BLK Heater; (47Z) AMB PKG not REQ; (512) Spare Tire/WHL; (531) Trailer Tow PKG; (62R) Trans PTO Prov; (86S) RR Spring PKG; (33) US GAL GAS. FOB Destination. Vehicles to be fully prepared and ready for use upon delivery. Delivery to be 90 days after award. Offerors responding to this announcement must provide the information contained in 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, and must include a completed copy of provisions 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items. The offeror must also provide it's, Contractor Establishment code (DUNS Number) and Tax Identification Number (TIN). The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose quotation is the most advantageous to the Government considering price and price-related factors: Technical Specification compliance, past performance, and price. Technical specification compliance and past performance are equal, and when taken together are significantly more important than price. At least 3 references are required for past performance. Vendors warranty and manufacturers warranty to be evaluated as part of the price. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. The written proposals and the above, required, information must be received at this office on or before January 08, 2001 by 12:00PM Mountain Savings Time.
