Required delivery with First Article Testing is 40 each 345 DACA and 46 each per month thereafter. First Article test report due 218 DACA. Required delivery without first article testing is 40 each 230 DACA and 46 each month thereafter. This item is restricted to McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co., Mesa, AZ; Boeing Precision Gear, Inc. Chicago, IL; The Purdy Corp, Manchester, CT; and ACR Industries, Inc., Macomb, MI. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.301-1, Only one source or only a limited number of responsible sources. The time required for approval of a new supplier is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Due to urgency, we intend to release the solicitation immediately and do not intend to allow a 30 day period for receipt of proposals; therefore, companies are encouraged to express their interest immediately. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part.
