This is a Sources Sought synopsis. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This sources sought synopsis requests information needed by the Department of Defense (DoD) prior to the release of any potential solicitation. Details follow (please read the entire synopsis). This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) -- Mechanicsburg is seeking small business sources capable of providing manufacture of the following: 1386ea MK86 Mod 0 Sling Assys. (NSN: 1H-1450-00-169-6927, P/N: 2614970); 1123ea Green Leg Assys. (NSN: 1H-4020-00-881-8736, P/N: 2644390); 478ea MK85 Mod 0 Sling Asys. (NSN: 1H-1450-00-169-6926, P/N: 2614969); 66ea MK128 Mod 0 Hoisting Slings (NSN: 1H-5921-01-076-1236, P/N: 5166422); 27ea MK138 Mod 0 Sling Assys. (NSN: 1H-1055-01-170-1103, P/N: 5166741); 90ea Wire Rope Assys. (NSN: 1H-4010-01-373-9251, P/N: 6212766); 105ea Wire Rope Assys. (NSN: 1H-4010-01-373-9255, P/N: 5167664); 30 Pallet Slings (NSN: 1H-3940-00-627-9603, P/N: 2644148). The proposed contract will cover a three (3) year period. These items are utilized in the movement and transport of Torpedos, Missiles and other supply materials involved in shipboard movement of stock. The potential manufacturing facility must adhere to the requirements of the respective Technical Data Packages (TDP) inclusive of the following: Contractor qualifications (Pre-award survey (Production and Quality)), First Article Testing for Year One, Production Lot Testing for years one, two and three and all other applicable Mil-Stds (129, 130, 1246C and 45208A).
