Description

This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only Request for Quotations; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number will be 01Q0008 is issued as a Request for Quotation through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The SIC code for this item is 3663. The United States Secret Service has a requirement for 3000 each, two wire palm microphone kit with Hirose circular connector to used on Motorola Saber and XTS radios with Motorla adapters. Includes clear audio coiled tube with ear tip. Microphone Kit is beige in color. The following FAR Provisions and Clauses are applicable unless otherwise 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-2 (Addendum): Paragraph (a) is deleted in its entirety and replaced with: "The U.S. Secret Service intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible offeror with acceptable past performance whose quotation represents the best value to the U.S. Secret Service. The U.S. Secret Service will technically evaluate all items that have not been used before by the U.S. Secret Service and a sample item will be required by closing date of this RFQ. If two items are equal technically, price will be the deciding factor. The Government may be willing to pay somewhat more for technically superior items that significantly enhance the U.S. Secret Service's ability to accomplish its mission." 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. The following clauses cited in 52.212-5 are applicable: 52.222-21, Prohibition of segregated of facilities; 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity; 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Vietnam Era; 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities; 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.225-3, Buy American Act-Supplies; 52.225-9, Buy American Act-Trade Agreements Act-Balance of Payments Program; 52.232-34, Payment of Electronic Funds Transfer-Other than Central Contractor Registration. The contractor shall deliver the complete quantity, FOB Destination with all freight included in the delivered price. Delivery to made to: U.S. Secret Service, ATTN: Bridget L. Delivery of supplies is desired within thirty (30) days of award. A signed copy of the Request for Quotation-Representations and Certifications shall be included with offeror's quotation.
