Description
The Government requires development and production of approximately 20 Radio Reconnaissance Program Signal Intelligence Suites for the Marine Corps. This is a three-year program, and the total budget for development, production, training, documentation and spares (i.e., life-cycle support) is approximately $7.8M. This will be the fourth generation of this particular suite of equipment, and it must be man-packable to meet mission needs. Very stringent size, weight, and power constraints apply. A Government Statement of Work and Performance Specification apply. A condensed, draft version of the performance specification can be accessed at www.crane.navy.mil/supply/announce.htm. See Note # 26. The complete specification and SoW will be included with the formal solicitation package. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 3342201 and the size standard is 750 employees. The successful offeror shall have experience in the design, development, integration and production of man-packable radio SigInt Systems with DF capability. Offerors are highly encouraged to team with Government activities or laboratories where appropriate to provide the best value to the Marine Corps. Source selection will be based on technical, past performance and price/value. Cost as an Independent Variable (CAIV) approach will be used. Oral presentations may be required. The solicitation will be posted on the NSWC Crane web site at http://www.crane.navy.mil/supply/announce.htm; no hardcopies will be mailed. The solicitation is expected to be posted on or about 8 January 2001. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered.
