Description

The Federal Correctional Institution, Oxford, Wisconsin is soliciting to establish a contract with an Orthopedic Surgeon to provide specialty medical services in the area of orthopedic medicine to the inmates incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp, Oxford. The board certified/eligible orthopedist shall provide evaluations and recommend patients for medically necessary orthopedic surgery. the contractor will conduct minor orthopedic procedures in-house, i.e. cast, reduce fractures, splint, and fit and/or measure patients for orthopedic prosthetics. The contractor will provide written and/or dictated reports on all patients referred for evaluation and will include recommendations for further diagnostic testing and/or treatment, when indicated. The contractor will provide (7) half hour sessions per month, as needed, between the hours of 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM and/or 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. The contractor is required to perform all evaluations and care commensurate with JCAHO standards. The estimated contract period will be from January 10 through September 30, 2001. Offerors current State of Wisconsin licensure and/or certification to be considered for award. Offerors must have liability insurance issued by a responble carrier in order to be eligible for award. A firm fixed-price contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder. All bids must be submitted to this office no later than January 2, 2001. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by this office.
