Description

The VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (SNHS) has a requirement to provide Mammography Staffing and Technical Support Services for the SNHS Mammography Facility. The VA will provide the equipment (one Lorad M-IV Mammography System- upgradable to digital), facilities, property, utilities, and space located at 1700 Vegas Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89106. The Contractor will provide all remaining supplies and services, including, but not limited to the following: a) Staffing -- Radiologic Technologist, Radiologist/Interpreting Physician, Medical Physicist, and administrative support; and (b) Technical Support Services related to the following: (1) FDA application/accreditation; (2) Compliance with MQSA -- Final Rule documentation; and (3) FDA annual inspection and documentation. The Lord M-IV Mammography System is expected to be installed and operational by January 8, 2001. The resulting contract will be effective for a base year period, with the Government having the option to exercise four one-year periods. The successful Contractor will be responsible for scheduling VA and non-VA patients. For the Base Year period, the VA anticipates up to 8-10 mammograms daily for VA beneficiaries. For the remainder of the normal work hours, the Contractor can utilize the equipment and space for treatment of non-VA patients. All businesses are encouraged to reply (NAICS 62112, $10m).
