Description

This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only Request for Proposal, offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number USSS010003 is being issued as a Request for Proposal. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. This RFP is restricted to 100% Small Businesses. The NAICS code for this item is 334220 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. The United States Secret Service has a requirement for 3000 each, two wire palm microphone and ear piece security kit with Hirose circular connector to be used on Motorola Saber and XTS radios with Motorla adapters, to include clear audio coiled tube with ear tip. Microphone Kit shall be beige in color. The following FAR Provisions and Clauses are applicable to this RFP: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items, insert in paragraph a. the following: "award will be based on the technically acceptable low offer."; 52,212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. The following paragraph numbers cited in 52.212-5 are applicable: (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), (17), (23)-fill-in for this clause is: prior to award. These FAR Provisions and Clauses my be accessed via the world wide web at: http://www.arnet.gov/far/ . The contractor shall deliver the complete quantity, FOB Destination with all freight included in the delivered price. Delivery will be made to: U.S. Secret Service, Radio Communications Branch, ATTN: Mark Kirley, Washington Navy Yard, 245 Murray Drive, SW, Washington, DC 20373-5824. All proposals should include a unit cost for the equipment. Delivery of supplies is desired no later than January 17, 2001. A signed copy of the Representations and Certifications shall be included with offeror's proposal. Proposals are due December 21, 2000, 3:00PM EST by mail or fax.
