- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Multi-Element Analyzer to analyze for elements in the soil and specifically in mine waste dumps. Elements that must be able to be detected with proposed piece of equipment are: cadmium, chromium, manganese, iron, nickel, copper, zinc, arsenic, lead, mercury, molybdenum, and silver. The solicitation number for this purchase is RFQ RMAST-01-024. The solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code and business size standard describing the product to be acquired under this solicitation is listed below: Contract line item 1 NAICS Code 42183 Size standard 100 employees Line Item 1 Multi-Element Analyzer, 1 each Multi-Element Analyzer must be compatible with field use (portable, lightweight, and easy to use), and be able to detect the elements listed above. Delivery Time as soon as possible after receipt of the Purchase Order. Preferably within 30 calendar days. FOB point -- Destination, San Juan National Forest, 15 Burnett Court, Durango, CO 81301 The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition and any addenda to the provision will be available from the contracting Officer at 970-385-1245. Evaluation of quotes received Contractors shall submit information that shows how their equipment works, and specific information that indicates the field capabilities of their equipment. If any other equipment or items are required for use of contractor's equipment, it shall be noted in the information submitted by the contractor. Price is less important than the equipment's ease of use in the field, and elements the equipment can detect. Price will be used as a deciding factor for equipment that is determined to be equal in terms of filed capability, elements detected, and ease of use. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with its offer. This provision may be found at http://www.arnet.gov/far/. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and any addenda to the clause will be available from the contracting Officer at 970-385-1245. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
