Description

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Office of Space Science is releasing for public comment a "DRAFT" NASA Research Announcement (NRA) soliciting proposals from organizations interested in serving as regional Education and Public Outreach (E/PO) Broker/Facilitators. The regional Broker/Facilitators are one of the critical supporting elements of the broad OSS approach to implementing a comprehensive space science E/PO Program. They serve as bridges between the space science and education communities and as catalysts to expedite, assist, and simplify the process of channeling the expertise of the space science community into directions that will best benefit the educational process and contribute to the public understanding of space science. Participation is open to all categories of organizations, including industry, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, NASA Centers, and other Government agencies. Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU's), other minority educational institutions, and small businesses and organizations owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals or women are particularly encouraged to apply. The "DRAFT" NRA is available electronically from the World Wide Web by selecting "Research Opportunities" at: http://spacescience.nasa.gov .
