Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate with, and make an award to, the International Social Security Association (ISSA); 4 Route Des Morillons (ILO); Case Postale 1; CH-1211; Geneva, Switzerland 22; for the purpose of supporting the 2001 ISSA initiative entitled "Assessing the Coverage Gap." This initiative will address the question of how to deal with the basic requirements for access to social provision (e.g., formal coverage), inquiring into its nature and extent from both quantitative and policy viewpoints. ISSA will synthesize and critically evaluate experience in different countries as well as the latest thinking of social security experts worldwide. The information that SSA will receive from this initiative will provide policy makers with balanced and credible information about the challenges facing social security administrations in the upcoming century. Any responsible source that believes it can provide the required services should submit a Technical Proposal describing its capabilities and resources to the Contracting Officer at the address listed above NO LATER THAN 21 December 2000.
