- Description
- B-U. S. Dept of Commerce (DOC), International Trade Administration (ITA) SABIT Program has a requirement for a contractor to provide services as a logistical coordinator for the training program. The coordinator will work at the Department of Commerce in Washington D.C. Services will start in January 2001 and will be 40 hours per week. Requirements: 1. Knowledge of history, government, demographics, and policies in the NIS. 2. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in Russian. 3, Excellent writing skills and attention to detail. 4. Ability to perform liaison functions among various organizations involved in the SABIT programs as will as Department of Commerce employees. 5. Strong organization skills, in particular the ability to coordinate all administrative logistics involved in SABIT specialized programs, including but not limited to the arrangement of all transportation, lodging, and travel documents. 6. Strong administrative skills such as typing, filing of information related to the specialized programs, database management, coordination of mass mailings, merging computer files, and responding to request for information on the programs. 7. Strong intercultural communications skills. 8. Ability to work independently on assignments, prioritize projects, and efficiently manage time. 9. Knowledge of WordPerfect, MS Office package, database programs. 10, A professional mannerism and the ability to work directly with U. S. host companies. Strong organization and administrative skills. 2. Ability to communicate in Russian. 3. Experience working with technical assistance, training or exchange programs in the former Soviet Union.
