Description

The US Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service/Gov.Works intends to procure the following Digital TV Turnkey Video Editing System on a sole source basis from MST Video LLC, for use by the US Army in support of Redstone Technical Test Center, Huntsville, AL. This editing system will be an integral component of the RTTC digital photographic data recorded on weapon systems tests. The system must be compatible with and have input for all video formats currently used by RTTC. The system must be IEEE 1394 compatible and be able to interface with existing RTTC fiber optic networks. RTTC requires that the system be installed on-site and integrated with existing computer systems. The equipment list is as follows: Dual Pentium III 800 Mhz CPU Mid tower, well ventilated case 512 Meg Ram 18 Gig SCSI boot drive internal 3.5 in Floppy disc drive 50x CD Rom Plextor CDRW Internal Zip drive Matrox G400 Dual monitor display card Dual 19 in. high resolution VGA monitors DigiSuite DTV board with breakout box Matrox 3D Max option (3D effects and DV I/O) Adobe Premiere 5.1RT bundle with inscriber for Premiere and Boris FX Incite color coded keyboard and Microsoft wheel mouse Internal 120 Ultra 66 IDE Raid array (35 Meg/sec transfer rate) External Medea 300 RT 300 Gig HD array Windows 2000 operating system Incite 2.8 software Incite FX bundlel (Title Motion, Film FX) Incite Media Assistant Software 90 minute Incite Overview video tape Mackie 1402 Sony 19 in Broadcast video monitor Factory software installation, configuration and system checkout On site installation at RTTC Eight hours on-site training at RTTC. All expressions of interest shall be received within 45 days after date of publication of this synopsis to be considered by the Government. This date will not be extended. No solicitation document exists for this requirement. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government shall not be responsible for any costs associated with preparing a response to this notice. *See Note 22.
