Description

The Contractor will provide all labor, tools, equipment, parts, materials, and incidentals necessary to inspect, test, repair and maintain the fire detection, alarm and suppression systems at the Defense National Stockpile Center (DNSC) Hammond, IN Depot, 3200 Sheffield Avenue, Hammond, IN 46327-1003. The system provides coverage to three (3) warehouses. The suppression system is a dry pipe sprinkler system. The detection and alarm system is a Radionics model D 9112 digital alarm and a Sencor model 2312/24TB communicator/transmitter system. System monitoring components include 45 dry type sprinkler system pressure switches, 24 supervisory signals, with low air pressure switches, one (1) master fire pump control alarms, one (1) electric fire pump control alarm. The suppression system includes two (2) 1,000 GPM delivery pumps, one (1) electric and one (1) diesel, that deliver water from the city main water supply through approximately 750 linear feet of 12", and 2,000 linear feet of 10 inch iron pipe to 12 valve houses (four (4) per warehouse). Potential contractor should review the site prior to bidding and provide certification of his/her ability to accomplish the full range of support services specified in this agreement. Products and services provided under this agreement will conform to current related state and federal statutes and codes. The contractor will be required to show proof of appropriate professional certification as required by the State of Indiana, for commercial fire detection, alarm and suppression system service, prior to award of the contract. The Defense National Stockpile Center plans to award firm-fixed price requirements contract for one year with four option years to one Contractor.
