Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to acquire services to repair and reassemble 1 (one) each F402-RR-408B Rolls Royce engine for the AV-8 Harrier Aircraft. NAVAIR anticipates award on a sole source basis to Rolls Royce, Bristol England, as an order against a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA). Rolls Royce is the sole developer and manufacturer of the F402-RR-408B engine and maintains exclusive proprietary data rights to the engine. Accordingly, Rolls Royce is the only contractor capable of repairing the engine. See Note 22.
